All persons requesting to have a campfire or any open burning in the town of Mexico must first obtain a permit.  Permits can be acquired at Wardensreport.com free of charge, each time you want to burn.  If you don’t have access to the internet written permits are available at the Mexico Fire Station before 8pm.

Burning is only allowed Monday-Friday from 5pm-11:59pm & Saturday and Sunday 10am-11:59pm.  Permits will only be available during these times and on low & moderate fire danger class days.

Reminder if you do not own your property you must have written permission from the landowner in your possession.
